The Backseat Stylers is a Toronto-based fashion blog that is the enterprise of two sisters, S and T.

We were not born into the fashion world; there was no defining moment, no spontaneous revelation that signaled the genesis of our passion for fashion. S’s early predilection for shopping propelled her — stilettos-first — into the whirlwind of clothes, heels, and bags. The chances of her resurfacing any time soon are nil. Analogous to Narnia, T walked into a closet and emerged in an alternate reality where six-feet-tall nymphs swathed in Dior couture are the norm. It was a casual exploration that soon spiraled into a fervent addiction to fashion week coverage, magazine editorials, and style blogs.

In the dynamic world of fashion where one can never say for certain what is in and what is out, who will be sitting front row and who won’t be receiving an invite, there is one thing that we can say is absolute: the view is best from the back.
